✅ Fact Check Policy

At Uavio.in, we are committed to delivering truthful, verified, and evidence-based journalism. Misinformation, half-truths, or unchecked claims can harm public trust — which is why fact-checking is an integral part of our editorial process.

🔍 Our Fact-Checking Principles

We follow the 3-step verification framework before publishing any content:

  1. Source Verification
    We cross-check all facts with:
    • Official government websites and press releases
    • Authoritative institutions, academic research, and reports
    • Verified spokespersons or subject-matter experts
  2. Cross Referencing
Claims are validated across multiple credible sources (news agencies, RTI responses, or public records). We avoid depending solely on social media or hearsay.
  3. Timestamp & Update
    Each fact-based article carries:
    • Date of publication
    • Update date (if corrections are made)
    • Citation of original source when necessary

📌 How We Handle Misinformation

  • If any factual error is identified in a published article, we review it internally and correct it under our Correction Policy.
  • A correction note may be added to the article explaining the change.
  • For critical misinformation, a public clarification or editor’s note may be issued.

⚠️ Tools and Methods We Use

  • Official databases and portals: PIB, RTI.gov.in, MyGov.in, Press Releases
  • Verification tools: Google Fact Check Tools, InVID, CrowdTangle
  • Reverse image search and metadata analysis for image/video claims
  • AI-assisted content scanning (followed by human verification)

🧾 User-Submitted Claims

We encourage our readers to submit suspicious claims or misleading news they come across. If a claim is proven false or misleading, we label it as such with evidence.

📨 To submit a fact-check request, email:
📧 contact@uavio.in

Please include:

  • A link or screenshot of the claim
  • Context of where/when it was seen
  • Why you think it’s incorrect

❗What We Don’t Fact Check

  • Opinions and personal statements unless presented as fact
  • Satirical content clearly marked as such
  • Content that lacks any public impact or relevance

🔐 Our Commitment

Uavio.in believes that verified information builds a stronger, more informed society. We are committed to fighting fake news, disinformation, and manipulative narratives — with facts, transparency, and accountability.
